So how does it work? We offer two Sponsored Degree programmes: the BA (Hons) Business Management Degree and the BA (Hons) Business Management Degree with IT for those with a passion for IT and Technology. Both programmes offer you the opportunity to combine academic study with real-life-on-the-job learning, spending one day a week studying on campus at the University of Winchester, and four days working in Logica. Delivered in partnership with the University of Winchester and Logica, the programmes last for three years.

Working for Logica

With a starting salary of £13,000 and a base office of either Reading or Leatherhead for the duration of the programme, you will be working within our Programme and Technical Services (PTS) division and will sit within the ‘Graduate Practice’. You will have a designated ‘Undergraduate Team Leader’ who will support your career development in Logica and a current Undergraduate who will be your ‘buddy’ to help you with anything you need!

What does working for Logica involve? Logica works with clients across a variety of industries and you could be working for any one of our clients. Typical Undergraduate roles can be testers, project finance roles and bid support roles to name a few. On graduation, you will continue your career with us for a minimum of two years, giving you the chance to apply all that you’ve learned, whilst taking a massive stride forward with 3 years commercial experience under your belt.

(Should you choose to leave the company in this time, you will need to refund us a proportion of the course fees).

Studying with The University of Winchester

So, how does the degree work? With successful study you will complete the degree in three years. The first two years are working towards your foundation degree. In these two years you will get a good grounding in Business and IT modules as well as gaining skills to manage people to achieve results. The final year will ‘top-up’ the foundation degree into a full BA (Hons) in Business Management or BA (Hons) in Business Management with IT depending on which route you have chosen. It is a seamless process and will see you continuing to build up your knowledge and experience. More details on the ‘top-up’ year can be found here.

You will be taught by a highly qualified team of lecturers from the University along with members of our business. You will have a designated programme leader, Stella McKnight, who teaches some modules and will support you all the way with any concerns you may have.
